The Nau Civil War Center is excited to welcome four new members to our Advisory Board: Andrew F. Lang, Beth Parnicza, Kevin M. Levin, and Justene Hill Edwards.
Andrew F. Lang is an associate professor at Mississippi State University and the author of A Contest of Civilizations: Exposing the Crisis of American Exceptionalism in the Civil War Era.
Beth Parnicza serves as the Chief of Education and Visitor Services at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and has spent 12 years as a public historian of the Civil War Era.
Kevin M. Levin is an educator and historian based in Boston and is the author of Searching for Black Confederates: The Civil War’s Most Persistent Myth.
Justene Hill Edwards is an assistant professor at the University of Virginia and an affiliated faculty member with the Nau Center. She is the author of Unfree Markets: The Slaves' Economy and the Rise of Capitalism in South Carolina.
