Congratulations to Nau Center postdoctoral fellow J. Jacob Calhoun, who recently accepted a tenure-track position as Byron K. Trippet Assistant Professor of History and David A. Moore Chair in American History at Wabash College! 

Calhoun received his PhD from the University of Virginia in 2024. His dissertation was entitled, "Reconstruction through Rifles: The Role of Violence in Black Americans’ Fight for Liberty in the Postemancipation Era."
