Several Nau Center scholars travelled to Chicago this weekend to take part in Northwestern University's 19th-Century Symposium!

Postdoctoral fellow J. Jacob Calhoun presented a chapter on "Reconstruction through Rifles." PhD candidates Jeremy Nelson and L. Carrington OBrion served as panel commentators. Professors Caroline Janney, Elizabeth Varon, and Justene Hill Edwards served as panel chairs, and managing director Brian Neumann gave a presentation on the Nau Center's digital history projects.
