Our 2026 Annual Conference, "'The Unfinished Work Before Us': The War in 1863," will take place on Friday, April 24, in UVA's Small Special Collections Library auditorium. The conference will focus on the year 1863, and it will feature presentations by Caroline E. Janney, Adam I. P. Smith, Cecily N. Zander, and Lindsay Rae Smith Privette. It will be free and open to the public, but registration on Eventbrite.com is required. Paid parking is available nearby at the Central Grounds Parking Garage located near the UVA bookstore.
