The Nau Civil War Center held its first annual Summer Teacher Seminar this June. Twenty-four middle school and high school teachers from across the country travelled to UVA for the week-long seminar, which examined the course, consequences, and memories of the Civil War.
Thank you to Gary W. Gallagher for serving as the lead scholar, to Lois MacMillan for helping coordinate the seminar, and to Ed Donnellan, Larry Dorenkamp, and Gena Oppenheim for delivering superb presentations on pedagogy and student research!
