Joseph Smith Papers Visit

The Nau Center, together with Dr. Kathleen Flake, chair of Mormon Studies at UVA, will be hosting a visit from the editors of the Papers of Joseph Smith documentary editing project. This project is not only known for the efficiency with which it produces volumes, but it also has a dedicated website giving free access to their work as well. Their website and project are considered to be one of the best examples of digital documentary editing currently available.

They will be giving a short talk about their work followed by a round table discussion that should be particularly interesting for anyone interested in documentary editing or the digital humanities. This meeting will be held from 10am to about 11:30am on Friday, April 8, in the Byrd/Morris Seminar Room of the Special Collections Library. We especially encouraged graduate students interested in scholarly editing or the digital humanities as a career to stop by.

Please send word of this meeting to any interested colleagues or students.
