The Nau Center recently co-sponsored a symposium with the American Civil War Museum at the Library of Virginia on Saturday, February 25, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Titled "Lightning Rods for Controversy," the symposium discussed the past, present, and future of Civil War monuments across the nation. Nau Center Board Member Ervin L. Jordan, Jr., author of Black Confederates and Afro-Yankees in Civil War Virginia ,was one of the symposium's featured speakers.
