On Wednesday, November 15, the Nau Center will host a book launch event for Edward Ayers’s newest book, The Thin Light of Freedom: The Civil War and Emancipation in the Heart of America (W. W. Norton & Company, 2017). Open and free to the public, this event will start promptly at 5:00 PM in the auditorium of the Small Special Collections Library at the University of Virginia. Paid parking is available nearby at the Central Grounds Garage.
