D. H. Dilbeck Finalist for Lincoln Prize

D. H. Dilbeck, assistant professor of history at Oklahoma Baptist University and recent graduate from the PhD History program at UVA, was honored as a finalist for the 2017 Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize. His book A More Civil War: How the Union Waged a Just War (University of North Carolina Press: 2016) was one of several finalists for this prestigious award presented by the Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History and Gettysburg College. According to the prize’s website, the Lincoln Prize “is awarded annually for the finest scholarly work in English on Abraham Lincoln, the American Civil War soldier, or a subject relating to their era.”
